So This Cahrayzee Thing Happened...

Sat Oct 11, 2008, 8:26 PM
  • Mood: Sociable
  • Listening to: Believe - Josh Groban
...and i actually had a chance to meet =zume.

! ! !

Royce is so so fun. He's every bit as awesome as i knew he would be. Super duper silly and affectionate and he has such pretty eyes. It was soso wonderful to finally hug him IN PERSON (it's still a bit hard to believe, ha).

Aw, and his girlfriend Bobbie Jean is so nice. She was quiet at first, but then

There were some issues with the estimated time of arrival (i had this monstrous essay to do, ugh), and a whole lot of driving (which i feel pretty bad about, but i'm thinking it was totally worth it), but it was the most fun few hours i've had in quite some time.

We met at Subway. Royce and i had a two-car-collision crash of a hug, spinout and everything. i made sure to hug BJ, too. Then my mama and *KnottyKeri were introduced. Then i ordered my usual six-inch Veggie Delight on wheat.

Royce, BJ and i were going to go to the zoo, but they closed too soon. So we hung out in this huge park really nearby (i didn't even bother with my flipflops and left them in the car, of course), with a whole lot of grass and plenty of trees. We drove around until we found the jungle jim with the slippery spiral slide, and the swingset with one swing (the other one was broken, bah). Then we found Willie the Tilted Tree and hung out in his branches for a while (Royce and BJ talked about all these Sci-Fi shows and things i have no idea about). And THEN we found another play area with this super duper awesome climbing wall thing, which i was all over.

After that we hung out at a library. We took silly pictures with the statue outside, and a police officer had to come out and tell Royce and me to get off (whoopsies). Then Royce took a bunch more pictures of BJ and me with the books. (Mmf. i think he was threatening to put some of them on dA.)

Then the library closed (i waved to the police officers on the way out), so we went to BJ's home, since it was so close (aw, poor Royce had to stay outside). She gave me a lovely tour of the fantastic house where she rents a room, and she fed me cereal and rice milk. (i was a bit tentative at first about the rice milk, but it's actually really not bad.)

Soon it started to get really cold, and there wasn't a whole lot more we could do in the half an hour before we had to leave for my mama's friend's house, so we got an early start. It was a two-hour drive, which i felt so bad about (though my mother forced a whole bunch of money on them at Subway), but it gave us a perfect excuse to get Starbucks on the way.

At last, we arrived where my mother, my sister and i were staying. We were still early, so Royce and Bobbie Jean stuck around for a bit. Royce took like a twenty-minute video (because he's a weirdy like that), mostly of Keri and me being ridiculous.

Then it was time for Royce and BJ to head home. It was so sad. i don't know when i'll see them again. We hugged at least two or three times. Big hugs that'll have to last a while.

Sooo...yep. That was my third meeting wit an Internet friend.
First it was *SM-Photography, who is my best photography buddy.
Then it was ~kerrath, who is now my boyfriend. (Crazy, huh?)
And now it's =zume, who is officially now one of my closest friends.

Crazy times are these. Crazy awesome indeed.

IF ANYONE ASKS ME IF I HAD A FUN TIME, I'LL TAKE THEM BY THE EAR TO YOUR DOORSTEP AND SHOW THEM HOW AMAZINGLY ADORABLE AND FUN YOU ARE. :D

My dearest buddy Lori. My real life, in-person buddy Lori. <3

My sitting-on-statue's-head-until-an-officer-shooed-us-away friend. :)

I like how that sounds.
Simple things sound nice.

It's getting late so I'll do my best to reply, hehe. Man vs Wild is being recorded in the background. The guy looks like he's about to hop an elephant. He's talking about them like they are some kind of giant walking food tray. Now he's nibbling on a frog's belly like a hamster. Look at that guy go to town! Im going to put that on youtube. Back on track...

You are indeed lovely in every way, as your dA name suggests, but you are no loon. I bet others have noticed that. You're really fun, but also down to earth. Perfectly sane! I love that. You're officially one of my real-life role models. :)

Thank you for hanging out with BJ and I. You are truly humble, which is so rare. You're real, honestly yourself, and so natural. You remind me of my college pastor Ryan, he's so much fun. You and he could be related.

Bobbie Jean and I were a bit shy, but you brought out our fun side pretty quick! :D
I feel good that you and BJ got along so well. I wasn't sure how that would turn out, but the Lord is always in control and so it all went smoothly! I hope you two end up best friends. That would be lovely.

About the coldness...Fresno should warm up into the 80's next week! Just in case, I got a big room heater to keep me cozy at night, hehe.

You, Keri, and your mother, were all far more graceful and encouraging than anyone could expect. I was blown away. You three have some super power at making people smile and giggle. :) Total Powerpuff Girls. :) ...not that i watch that show any more...heh...

I wasn't sure what to expect, besides a really fun hang out with a wonderful sister in Christ. It turned out to be much more than just a hang out. It was a spiritual journey plus a playful and warm day.
The weather was a wee chilly, but that didn't stop us from feeling warm and fuzzy. :)

I can honestly say, meeting you has been a life changing experience. If I may, being near you is healing. I let go of a lot of anxiety I've been storing up over the years. Your smile alone made me feel lighter. I've waited for so long to hug you, and did expect quite a lot from our hug, and I wasn't let down in any way. I was shocked and giddy with excitement that you really ARE all those incredible things your dA gallery and phone indicate.
Now that you're miles away, I feel as though I'm missing out on something vital.

Steph has it right, you're totally a hecka cool chick.

Seeing someones interwebz/intertubes photo, and thinking of them as a fellow artist, is one thing. But! Until you really get to look into their in-person eyes and realize that they are completely compassionate and warm, you really aren't sure what they are like. I was sure you're amazing before I met you, I had no doubts,
but now I know that I would be happy to do anything for you. Meeting only once isn't always enough time to learn everything about a person, but I don't care. Your mother trusted me with you, and I trust you with everything. I mean I even climbed a tree with you, which I'm scared to death of, and it was FUN! :D

I pray that Jesus is with you on your trip home, and that you and we might veeery soon get to hang out again. You're more than invited to go to my Church in the morning, if you like. I'm not sure exactly when you'll be heading back down through Fresno to go home. You know what, you're invited to move your whole family to Fresno. :P Well I know thats asking a bit much, but why not. You, Kerri, Bobbie Jean, and I could start some kind of art business and take over the world with our wacky ideas. :D :earth:

Much love in Jesus,

Royce

p.s. I should mail you my phone memory card. turns out there wern't any important files on there i needed. you and those songs must be reunited! :P

Oh and how can i put a 20 minute video of sheer silliness on youtube?

And BTW the statue we sat on, it hatched. Charlie the unicorn hopped out and danced the night away with the officer. They rode into the tele-tubby style sunset on a merry go' round!
