^{oh, happy bright child of the dawn:

you shake the sleep from your shoulders
     ...quietly falls away
     with unfurling hues
(you smile, and sip sweet dew displays)

your limbs of light embrace the world
     golden fingers probing
     --scattering the deep
(you laugh, and kiss each flowering face)

but too soon, you slowly wave farewell,
     slip back on the sleep
     , curl up beneath the sea

your light is silenced, once again;}
