you  s  i  g  h  .  .  .

a ghostown gust, idly pushing

that aimless lone tumbleweed

    of tangled thought-threads . .

Tony *antonfrost made me do it.

this is a captivating poem--i love when a poem insists on the reader's experiencing it; the s i g h in the first line immediately slows me down, a deep breath, a preparation. The first line is an airy and insistent host, pulling me inside.

the second line is so vacuous, the emptiness, the uninhibited wind, the aggression and simultaneous idleness, then the aimlessness in the third line--all this emptiness, then the sudden substance "tangled," all at once, and the sudden abstraction of thought introduced.

a powerful portrait; the emotional/spiritual/psychological state of the poet is strongly and clearly portrayed. well done!
