A Simple Recreation

Oh my gosh, you have NO idea how relieved i am that this thing is FINALLY DONE.

This my String Project, for Geometry. As you can see, we had to find an image (make one up, do it from a photo, create random shapes, whatever), get the supplies (i used a cork board, dress-making pins, thread, string, etc.; some people used wood and nails, others Styrofoam...you get the picture), and recreate the thing out of string.
Not as easy as it sounds, i assure you.

i have no idea how long this blasted thing took me to do, but it was a looong time. Hours and hours of pin-pushing and stringing. (And those pins are haaard. i'm not sure if my fingertips will ever truly be the same...) And most of that time was spent untangling the blasted string. i swear, it would be perfectly wound up when i took it out of the plastic or whatever, then i'd turn my back to push more of those painful little pins in, and when i reached over to start stringing, i'd suddenly have one huge knotted and tangled mess in my hand. It was a nighmare, untangling those things...

But! It is finished at last, and i must say that i am pleasantly surprised with the results. It actually looks a lot like what i was trying to do, which is miraculous, considering the fact that i hadn't the foggiest idea if what i was doing...
